Alpha Associates project cargo division incorporates our charter and out-of-gauge cargo sections and is one of our busiest sections of the business. Often referred to as a logistics section we have been handling projects for global manufacturers since long before the buzz word became fashionable with a tremendous amount of success.
Project shipments requires the freight-forwarder to fully understand the way the manufacturer works and handles his business so that they can appreciate the challenges the shipper will face before, during and after his transport needs have been completed.
Numerous freight-forwarders claim to have a logistics division but few actually have the man-power or experience to handle project cargo from inception through to delivery in the way that Alpha Associates can. With our dedicated staff who travel the world overseeing these projects we discuss face-to-face with all aspects of the supply chain including your overseas customer to obtain smooth customs clearance so you can be assured your project cargo is in safe hands. We negotiate direct with shipping lines, airlines, customs authorities and ports and airports to ensure landing rights, royalties, clearance and delivery can be achieved cost effectively and efficiently.
Some of our project contracts run into many millions of pounds and without this level of control costs can easily run away from an inexperienced shipper and freight forwarder. When handling large project cargo there are few with the experience that Alpha Associates can bring to the movement of your valuable cargo.
